Educated in France, Hervé graduated from the prestigious Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers.
He is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (CEng MIET).
He started his career at Valeo in Normandy and later moved to Aérospatiale Hélicoptères near Marseilles (now Airbus Helicopters).
Keen to get some experience abroad, he joined Lucas Aerospace in Solihull in 1984, initially for a one-year contract. He still lives in the UK 40 years later!
Throughout his career he has been fortunate to hold senior management positions in large and medium size engineering and manufacturing companies such as Lucas Aerospace (now Collins Aerospace), Lucas Automotive (now ZF Automotive), Alvis Transmissions (now BAE Systems), Ricardo and Romax (acquired by Hexagon).
He held management roles in Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Project Management, Quality and General Management, both with successful companies and with businesses needing to return to profitability.
He has been part of teams negotiating the creation of joint ventures and the sale of businesses.
Over the years he has had the privilege of working closely and learning from colleagues, customers and suppliers from different cultures and countries in Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Sweden), Southeast Asia (China, Korea, India, Japan) and the US.
Hervé trained as a coach with the Centre for Coaching and was awarded his Certificate in Coaching.
He honed his skills acting as a sounding board with colleagues at all levels, asking questions, listening intently and helping people to define and achieve their goals.
He is a mentor on the government sponsored Help To Grow scheme.
Fascinated by the power of coaching, he set up his own practice using his skills and experience to help overstretched leaders of Engineering SMEs to prepare their business so they can achieve profitable growth.
"Hervé has a lifetime of real-world engineering experience and a background in tackling tough challenges."
